Hydrological studies and development of water resources

We do environmental data research, analysis, consultancy, and water development projects. We streamline professional experience on the environment with the advanced use of data and information science. We are actively involved in the management and development of the EU institutional water databases, applying our experience in European, national, and local projects.

Our experts are part of the European Topic Centre Biodiversity and Ecosystems (ETC BE) and European Topic Centre Sustainability Transitions (ETC ST), which implement tasks under the European Environment Agency: management of environmental data in information systems; development of environmental indicators and assessments; and support to environmental policies of the EU.

Our wishes

Status of European waters

We strive for maintaining good quality of waters in Europe and being resilient to extreme water events.

Healthy drinking water

We wish to drink healthy drinking water in Europe. We also wish to use water resources for other needs, sustainably.

Plants and animals

We want to secure the European water ecosystems to sustain vital and heterogenous fish, amphibian, bird, mammal, and reptile populations. We are happy to see thriving indigenous vegetation.

Swimming and recreation

We foresee the European waters attractive for bathing and other recreation.
