The project relied on monitoring activities, tailored as a "fact-finding" mission that would bring forth the basis for the development of a first joint marine litter strategy in the Adriatic Sea. Thus a georeferenced database and data viewer were established to effectively store and share data on the amounts and types of marine litter in different marine compartments of the Adriatic Sea.
