The study provides professional guidelines on the water management in the catchment of the river Mislinja. It provides an analysis of the state ecomorphological properties and water management facilities on rivers. Guidelines for the restoration of rivers are given and possibilities for natural retention areas to be established. Within the project, we tested a method of open working process with early public participation. The method enables the building of trust and knowledge-sharing among the participants, supports more informed and responsible decision making and provides comprehensive physical and structural treatment of a watercourse in the area.
